It's your government - Get Involved!
ModernPublic - Huntington Beach is the flagship city for the
ModernPublic.com network. The additional features found for HB are under
construction for the other cities, where applicable. MP - HB currently is
configured to have the following 10 sections:
1. Public Polls -
The default screen for your city. This is where current polls are located.
To participate in a poll, click on a topic. To vote, select your answers. Push
the "Vote" button at the bottom of the poll to cast your vote. You can
view the poll results without voting by clicking on "view results".
You may also create your own polls by pushing the "Create a new poll"
button at the bottom of the screen. After voting, the poll will display
the latest updated totals.
2. Public Forum - Post comments
and reply to comments others have posted. This area is for registered users
only. Anyone may register. It is free. To register, simply click on the "register"
link in the upper right side of the public forum screen. After you are
registered, you can immediately begin to post and reply to comments.
3.
Public Chat - Chat with others in our community. Perfect for all televised
government meetings such as City Council and Planning Commission meetings.
4.
Polling Results - View the archived results of previous "Public
Polls".
5. Council Agendas - City council agenda as
posted by the city clerk on the Friday night before the next city council
meeting (PDF format). It is recommended the Agenda be printed or opened as a
second window to most effectively use the Council Meetings area.

Huntington Beach city government issues and activities created by the City
Administrator each week. Note: you must have an Acrobat Reader installed on your

willy-nilly all over the net, do not provide any phone or email information.
That public information can only be found here.

Links to the cities many web servers and other sites of interest.
10. ModernPublic TV -

This is by HB policy. HB-3 TV amounts to our very own government
sponsored propaganda channel. The peoples access to cable television is
restricted to channel 6. The peoples programs may be found here. Anyone can air
programs on channel 6. For more information on Public Access television in
Huntington Beach, contact Ursula with Time Warner at: (714) 847-4531. Note: This

Friday. Don't get discouraged if you find it difficult to get through to a live
human. Things are improving.
